Our Open Water Dive Course
Learn to dive on a course that is tailored perfectly for a busy lifestyle.
Our course is broken up into 4 parts Theory, pool Dive and Dive and run over 3 consecutive days.

3 Day schedule.
Theory - Study on your own time at your own pace with MYSSI's online digital learning platform.
Pool - Spend one day in a pool learning the skills needed to become a confident diver.
Dive and Dive - The following 2 EPIC days are spent diving the Leigh coast, putting your new skills to the test and exploring the underwater world.

Prerequisites

Minimum age of 15 years for online bookings. If age is 10 to 14 please contact us.

Able to swim 200 meters and float for 10 minutes. (this can be done in any stroke)

Pool day and all Open water dives.

Study materials, wall certificate, certification and administration fees

All hardware scuba equipment for the duration of your course. Our gear is top of the line, Learn to dive in the best gear with integrated weight systems and dive computers.

You will need to bring your own Mask, Snorkel, Boots and Fins. Equipment will need to be checked by your instructor prior to diving. You can also hire this for $85.00 for the duration of the course.

Course Itinerary: Complete your course in 3 consecutive days.
Day 1: Theory, Pool/confined. Learn the skills needed to be a confident and safe diver.
Day 2: Equipment session, Ocean Dives 1 & 2. Put your new skills into practice
Day 3: Ocean Dives 3 & 4. Certification time! On your last dive, you will be able to safely plan and conduct a dive between your buddies. You will now be a certified Open Water Diver!

When booking below please note that the date chosen is the first (pool) day of the course and the following 2 days will be in the ocean.

Our Guarantee and Commitment to You
•We will give you all the information and training you need to complete this course to a safe and very high
standard.
•We will only use fully qualified professionals chosen for their professionalism and ability to teach scuba.
•If weather hampers completion of your course we will do our best to get you certified, available space permitting according to our course schedule.
Your Commitment to Us
•Please check the medical form. If you check ‘YES’ to any questions we will need your doctor's consent
that you are fit to dive. We cannot teach you to dive without this consent. This check must be done before
signing up for your course as your deposit pays for your Online Theory and is therefore non-refundable.
•Re-booking for any reason with less than a week’s notice
will incur an NZ$200 charge.
•In the event of course non-completion on the part of the student, the course cost is always
non-refundable
•For your safety, during your training consumption of alcohol and/or drugs is prohibited. You are
required to arrive at the required time for the duration of the course
•To avoid costly disappointment, please speak to one of our Instructors for honest guidance before buying
your equipment
•For your own safety, our company policy requires any equipment used during training to be inspected and approved by our Training Manager or Instructor.
